Sarah Adipayanti’s Journey
Haloooo. I just get back from Medan.
I spend the whole week in parts of small town in Medan.
Most of them near Toba. Muara, Aritonang, Samosir, Tuk-tuk, and many places which I hardly remember the name.
There
are actually many stories and new experiences I would like to share, so
that when I wanna look back to the time where I feel like I find myself
once again, I could easily read this and recall.
Because my memory is getting duller.
Alas, words just can’t describe how exciting the experience, adventure, that i had in the past week.
Ethnic, culture, the beauty of the nature (sighs). There’s just a lot to tell.
Here’s a simplification of what I feel. It’s magical.
In
the past week, I feel like I found myself once again. I feel like I’m
having my own world. I feel enough. I ain’t attatch to something
addictive. There’s no such thing as confusion, I feel alive. It just so
delightful.
Sad that I have to go back. Because I feel like I finally find who I really was, is and will be in that place.
"We
travel, initially, to lose ourselves;
and we travel, next, to find
ourselves.
We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about
the world than our newspapers will accommodate.
We travel to bring what
little we can,
in our ignorance and knowledge,
to those parts of the
globe whose riches are differently dispersed.
And we travel, in
essence, to become young fools again
— to slow time down and get taken
in,
and fall in love once more."
